yep the teeny tiny thing in the very background is the castle. edinburgh looks so much nicer than glasgow. only 40 minutes away but really different. kinda jealous edinburgh looks so picture postcard. the thing in the foreground is the dugald stewart monument. edinburgh is grey because the nearby quarry produces grey sandstone. glasgow has more yellow and red sandstone. the edinburgh festival takes place at this time (august) every year. a blank artillery shell is fired from edinburgh castle everyday at 1. and at midnight on hogmanay.
