I am SO MAD at Cover Girl Cosmetics
Dear Cover Girl,
I am still fairly angry about your discontinuing my favorite eyeliner, CG Soft Radiants pencil in soft bronze suede. That was years ago and I've never found its' equal.
But you've really gone too far this time and I will never forgive you for it. I will hold a grudge well into the after-life, so don't come looking for me to speak for you at the Pearly Gates.
Your concealer products have disappointed me all of my life. The solid "tube" kinds have always been cakey, heavy and have never properly covered dark circles. It's great for halloween if you are going as a raccoon or the bride of the undead. The sponge tip semi-liquid ones are just as bad or even worse.
As I said, CG concealers have been absolute trash/garbage all of my life, but a few months ago I tried Cover Girl Advanced Radiance Remedy Red #220 concealer. It worked like a dream. It covered dark circles very well, went on light and easy, did not "show through", it was AMAZING.
So, tell me what possible VALID reason you have for discontinuing it?
Love and Kisses,
Bunny

do an internet search and buy all you can while it's still out there!
So today when I was out I looked and found something even better from Physician's Formula (which is the brand I usually buy anyway...), so CG loses all of my spending dollars because they keep discontinuing my products. I can never trust or rely on them again and I prefer Shisiedo and Joe Blasco but can't afford them...
I'm not a huge fan of CG as their products are not really made for dry skin.
My problem with products is that I take so long to use them that by the time I need a replacement the packaging has changed or it's been reformulated.
I purposely don't try Shisiedo or the pricier brands b/c I'm afraid I would like them too much. I do like Urban Decay eyeshadow and Smashbox photo finish makeup primer.
I decided for what I've spent on the last two replacement candidates that sucked I could have just gotten something from Joe Blasco or Benefit or Clinique. I decided I am going to the make up counters at Macy's this weekend and have them actually put things on me so I can try them and go outside and see in real light and then go back inside and buy. That has to be easier and cheaper in the long run.
Stay away from the physician's formula, at least in my own opinion. I find it to be gloopy and cakey and drying. Not attractive, unless you want raccoon eyes that won't blend.
I like Shiseido, but can't afford it. MAC cosmetics are another good choice, I am afraid if you want a good product you are going to have to go someplace like Macy's and try a few with the help of the counter person. I figure it's worth the time and money to not buy another product that you come to find after you get it home doesn't work.
