Photos of my shortbread
Butter - one 4 ounce stick
Sugar - 1/4 cup
Flour - 1&1/4 cup
Cream butter and sugar together, add flour, only just mix, make a loose ball, roll it out to 1/2" thick, make little fork holes, REFRIGERATE for at least an hour or more, then bake at 300 for 30 minutes.
Cool well before removing from pan.
Cut in wedges, eat whole round, make another before anyone notices.

Yes, but this round was made at a friend's request too for her friend whose husband is from Scotland. Pfft, too bad.... See, that's the thing with a round... you have to cut it before it cools, so i always just have to have one slice, two slices, well now it's uneven, I better eat that whole corner.... well it still looks lopsided, I better eat half, well now I can't give her half a round, I have to eat the whole thing...
Really I only had 2 slices - SO FAR. And that's nice to know about the frozen log deal... I get tired of making it batch by batch sometimes. I make it by hand and sometimes it makes my index finger hurt.
Here, i'll pour you a cuppa and hand you the shortbread...
LOL! You're like Paula Poundstone and the box of Pop Tarts - one of my favorite bits of hers.
Looks truly delicious...hmm....you're gonna have to make more of that for a special visitor, no?
