Polaroid to STOP making Instant Film

Comments

Wow..that's a real shame. Manipulating Polaroids is an entire photography genre. Some of those artists do amazing work. Plus, future generations won't know what it means to shake it like a Polaroid picture.
How my supposed to take nudie shots now, huh?

I was thinking I should buy every pack of film out there and corner the market, step 3: PROFIT.
When Chris and I were in Paris we had a Polaroid taken of us in front of Notre Dame. As we were walking away with our 'prize' we were talking about how Polaroid probably didn't have much longer in the photo business. We had no idea it would be so soon, though.
Yeah, I've "known" for a long time that the end was near, I had no idea it was NIGH! or however you spell it. I should get mine out and see if there's any film packs left/still good. Years ago I bought a 4 pack on sale. i should get it out and take a picture of it for posterity.

*goes off to look for it*
7 pictures left, no extra film packs. I need to go to Rite-aid today for Tea bags anyway. I can't afford NOT to pick up a pack of film if that's all there will ever be made. I buy my Tea at Rite-aid because it's 3$ a box as opposed to 6$ at the grocery.

While I am out I will drive by the interview site so I can see where it is and not get lost on Friday morning.
I'm sure there's going to be a small time niche company that's going to keep the Polaroid alive. The Lomo is still alive. Actually, there's a business idea for you, GB. ;)
Yeah! Andy Warhol is spinning in his grave.

HA HA! TGB said "tea bags!" Of course "tea bag" (singular) is funnier, but still.... Sixbucksateabag... Good times.
