Tune Trash: CMJ 22 & CMJ 23
Jack Frost - Season to risk: An acquired taste... Guitar driven rock with gravely vocals. Head bang away.
Hum - Stars: Starts out soft and pretty, then it makes you want to shake your shoulders back and forth and bob your head. I like this song a lot.
Pell Mell - Nothing lies still long: This instrumental song could be in a movie soundtrack. I close my eyes and see a dark, rainy street, a black car with rain on the windshield obscuring the occupants, a man in a trench coat on the street, hiding in the shadows... YMMV - Your movie may vary....
Engine 88 - Spinach: Another driving rock song with gravely vocals, but this one has a sort of melody to it and I have always carried part of these lyrics with me: "When you think about yourself, think your ending out". No, I can't explain it.
Smoking Popes - Need you around: Poppy, happy, depressing, sweet.
I saved the best one for last.
Green Apple Quickstep - Dizzy: I LOVE THIS SONG and it gets 5 stars ***** because that's all ITunes will allow me to give it. I can not help but feel all happy and summery inside whenever I hear this song. Besides, how can you NOT love a band named Green Apple Quickstep?
