...So I am posting this song with "girl" in the title all by it's lonesome because it wouldn't fit in with the Country/Cowboy theme, but that's what punk is best at, not fitting in with the mainstream, right?

Since I was a very small girl I've always wanted a pair of galoshes and a yellow rain slicker and never had either.
I've been going back and forth the past few weeks on buying a somewhat pricey pair of Sperry rain boots.
For those of you who don't know Sperry - they make shoes that are MADE to get wet. Like the classic boat shoe, also known as a Topsider [or Docksider (which is a fake/knock-off Sperry Topsider...)]. Sperry is pricey yes, but they are made to last a lifetime.
Anyway, I've looked at payless, target, zappos, sierra trading post, ll bean
tons of places... I saw a pair of Sperry boots at Zappos, and then I checked
the actual Sperry site - zappos is no great deal, they are
only charging $1 less. I'd rather pay shipping and buy
direct from Sperry because they've been around since 1935 - I'm not that old, but I have been wearing Sperry since I was a kid, so Sperry will get my dollars because I'd like to see them around until well after 2035.... just as soon as I convince myself $120 is a good/fair price.
Aren't they cute and smart looking as well as ugly as hell? And they'd match my fantastic cornflower blue duster rain coat.
